Small Probate Courts in Los Angeles County Are Closing

All of the local probate courts are closing on June 30, 2013. All new filings for Van Nuys have to be done in Los Angeles Superior Court Probate section. They are scanning all the documents and in the future they will be sharing them over the net the way they are doing it today physically. The City and County of Los Angeles are looking to save money doing this movement and centralize all the cases in one roof. This is good for them buy very inconvenient for the decedent family, attorneys,etc,. Since parking in Los Angeles is hard to get and very expensive as well.
